Willamette Organics does not design or build landscapes. Nor do we perform routine landscape maintenance. We work directly with site owners or with their landscape professionals to build a foundation for easy organic land care. This involves site mapping, soil testing, application organic fertilizer and compost or compost tea. Once optimal soil fertility is achieved, landscapes can be maintained with low impact practices. That means, among other things, reduced fertilizer and water use as well as less frequent watering and elimination of all synthetic inputs.
A comprehensive landscape Organic Transition and Integrated Pest Management program that qualifies the site for Oregon Tilth Accredited Organic Land Care status. Willamette Organics works with the site landscape manager to implement the program, tracks the site inputs and program progress, generates annual site assessment reports and provides integrated pest management supervision. The program focuses on soil restoration to achieve optimal natural fertility. Sites are mapped and measured, and soil chemistry tests taken. A specific granular soil conditioner/fertilizer blend is prescribed and compost tea applications are provided.

Organic Foundations Program

The Organic Foundation program is important in preparing a new site, or transitioning an existing site to organic land care. We survey and map your site, establish management zones, take soil samples and develop an annual fertility plan for you. The soil tests allow us to prescribe soil conditioners that will optimize your soil fertility for years to come. We follow this with two PACT spray applications to boost plant performance and rebuild soil microbiology. This is the fastest way to build a fully organic land care program
